    This is the Ahrefs changelog, a simple list of all our newest features for you to browse and try out.

    Here you’ll find a running list of the recently added product updates and launches at Ahrefs, in a super easy-to-digest text format.

    (2023-09-23) Popular domain autosuggestions  > Type a keyword into the search bar to see suggestions for the top 5 domains with the most traffic. Before, we used to show only suggestions from your search history. Try now

    (2023-09-09) Portfolios > Group a list of URLs from up to 10 domains into a portfolio and see their aggregated metrics in most Site Explorer reports. Once saved, the portfolio will show up on your dashboard along with top-level metrics – just like Projects. Use it to track your top competitors, your clients’ portfolios of content, and lots more. More / Try now

    (2023-09-06) Competitor metrics > Click on “Show competitors” at the bottom of any project to expand the list of competitors added during project setup. The bolded metrics and deltas exceed the values of the main target. Try now

    (2023-12-15) Overview > New & lost referring domains chart > It works in both Competitors and Years modes and supports different granularities. Also new is a trend line which tells you if a target is gaining or losing links over time. Try Now

    (2023-11-21) “Best links” filter in 2.0 reports > This lets you filter for so-called “good” links. The filter is based on a predefined set of parameters, which by default includes referring domains that have a DR of at least 30, traffic of 500 or more, and so on, and is fully customizable.     (2023-10-31) Top Organic competitors widget > This widget in Overview shows you the top 5 competitors of your target and how everyone matches up against each other in terms of organic traffic, organic traffic value, and number of pages.     (2023-07-18) Authors filter in all backlink-related reports > You can now filter by referring page’s author, export all authors, and access this data via APIv3. This should help you do link outreach at scale and save you massive amounts of research time. Try now

    (2023-07-11) Search volume sparklines > All keyword ideas reports now feature sparklines that show changes in search volume over the past 12 months. This should give you a great overview of search volume trends at a glance. Try now

    (2023-11-10) Access control features > Before, any workspace user or guest could modify Site Audit issues for the entire workspace. This led to a lot of back-and-forth issues where users would turn off important issues for all projects. With the new access control features, this won’t happen anymore. More

    (2023-09-15) Filter by changes in fields > Filter crawl results by changes in fields, either by numbers or by percentages. This opens up a bunch of use cases, like filtering for pages that saw an organic traffic decrease of at least 10%. More

    (2023-09-14) Visualize hreflang issues with hreflang link graphs > Open the URL details panel of a page and click on the Hreflangs tab to see its whole hreflang cluster. Errors with pages and links are highlighted in red, which lets you quickly spot which link is missing – or was added by mistake. More

    (2023-09-11) 190+ structured data validation issues against Google’s guidelines > Site Audit now supports structured data validation against 190 rules listed in Google’s guidelines (in addition to schema.org guidelines) like recipes, product carousels, local businesses, and so on. More

    (2023-08-18) New Core Web Vital Metric: INP > We’ve added the Interaction to Next Paint (INP) metric under the Performance chart. This will officially replace First Input Delay as a new Core Web Vitals metric starting March 2024. To find pages in your crawl with a poor INP score, go to Page Explorer, click on Columns, type in “INP”, then check all INP-related columns. More

    (2023-07-26) Changes to robots.txt file > We now notify you about changes in your robots.txt file. Go to the Page source column, click on “View changes”, and you’ll see a comparison between the file’s current and previous content. From here, you can make sure nothing was disallowed or allowed by mistake. More

    Monitor keyword rankings on desktop and mobile for 190 locations.

    (2023-12-13) Overview 2.0 (beta) > First, the position history chart now shows the history of all ranking URLs, as well as Ahrefs and Google updates. Second, the keyword filter is now the same as Site Explorer’s and supports multiple rules and conditions. Third, position and traffic changes now have dedicated columns. Finally, the URL column now shows the number of ranking URLs. More

    (2023-10-18) Default device for projects > You can now choose the default ranking to display (either desktop or mobile) from each project’s settings. Settings are stored per user, and not by workspace.

    (2023-07-28) GSC Overview report > This report lets you analyze your Google Search Console property and shows you the distribution of clicks to impressions and CTR by position. You’ll also see “clicks from anonymized queries”, which are clicks hidden by Google to protect its users’ privacy. This helps paint a more accurate picture of your actual clicks.

    (2023-07-31) Custom filters > You can now save combinations of filters as presets and access them with one click. All top-level filters are supported, while created presets are saved per user and not shared across the workspace. Try now

    (2023-07-07)  Filters on Content Explorer landing page > We’ve added all primary filters to the landing page of Content Explorer. This means that you can now apply all the filters you’d like in your initial search. Try now

    Analyze competitors’ websites compared to yours in terms of keywords, referring domains and referring pages.

    (2023-11-01) Link Intersect 2.0 > This tool shows you who’s linking to one or more targets, but not others. For example, to see who’s linking to your competitors, but not to you, make sure you’re in show referring domains or pages mode, then enter your domain in the top section and add a few competing websites in the bottom section.     (2023-07-15) Content Gap 2.0 > This tool shows you keywords that your competitors rank for but you don’t, which can reveal gaps in your content coverage and strategy. Content Gap will show you the keywords that at least one of your competitors ranks for in the top 10, but where your blog doesn’t in the top 100. More / Try now
